£50 to get a new PC, laptop, Mac, tablet or printer set up, configured and ready to use from day one.
New devices come with a lot of initial setup to work through — accounts, updates, preferences, printers, software. I take care of all of it so you can start working straight away.
New device setup
- Unbox, power on and run through initial Windows, macOS or iPadOS setup
- Create or connect to a Microsoft or Apple account
- Apply all updates and security patches
- Transfer files, photos, documents and browser bookmarks from the old device
- Set up printers and peripherals (wired or wireless)
- Connect to Wi-Fi and any shared network drives
Software installation
- Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
- Antivirus and security software
- Business or industry-specific applications
- Browsers, PDF readers and other everyday tools
- Configure default apps and preferences the way you like them
Windows refresh or reinstall
If your current PC is running slowly or feels cluttered, a clean reinstall of Windows can make it feel like new again. I'll back up your files first, reinstall the OS and put everything back.
What's not included
The £50 covers labour only. Software licences (e.g. Microsoft 365 Personal at ~£60/yr) and any hardware are paid separately. I'll tell you exactly what you need before anything is purchased.
